Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you create an account or use Zephy.

1. About these Terms

These Terms form an agreement between you and Sohail Gsais, an independent operator in the United Kingdom trading as Zephy. They apply when you access Zephy, create an account, or purchase a Search Pass. Contact: support@sohailgsais.com.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Zephy.

2. What Zephy provides

Zephy is a career-organisation service for tracking job applications, maintaining CV information, generating user-requested CV tailoring, and optionally monitoring Gmail for recruiter responses. Features may be introduced, changed, or retired as the side project evolves, but changes will not remove paid statutory rights.

Zephy is not an employer, recruiter, job board, legal adviser, immigration adviser, or guarantee of employment. You remain responsible for applications, deadlines, communications, and decisions made using the service.

3. Accounts

Provide accurate account information, protect your password and sessions, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care.

Accounts are for individual use and may not be sold, shared as a service, or used to evade usage limits. We may apply reasonable rate limits and verification checks to protect Zephy.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of CVs, notes, application information, and other content you provide. You give Zephy a limited permission to host, copy, transform, and process that content only as needed to operate, secure, and provide the features you request.

You must have the right to provide the content and must not upload unlawful, malicious, or infringing material. Avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your job search.

5. Job links and third-party services

When you submit a public job URL, Zephy may retrieve structured information from that page to fill application details. Only submit links you are entitled to access. Do not use Zephy to circumvent access controls, scrape private systems, or breach third-party terms.

Job websites, Google, Gmail, Stripe, and other third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Zephy is not affiliated with or responsible for employers or job sites, their availability, or the accuracy of their content.

6. AI features

AI-generated suggestions may contain errors, unsuitable wording, or omissions. Review every generated CV before use and ensure it remains truthful. You must not use Zephy to fabricate qualifications, employment history, or other material facts.

AI outputs are provided to assist your own editing. Zephy does not promise that generated content will pass an applicant-tracking system, produce an interview, or improve a hiring outcome.

7. Free access and Search Pass

The free plan and Search Pass include the limits displayed on the pricing or purchase page. A Search Pass is a one-time purchase that provides eligible features for 90 days after activation. It does not automatically renew. AI allowances are usage limits for that pass, not stored monetary value, and unused allowances expire with the pass.

Prices and applicable taxes are displayed before payment. Stripe processes checkout. Paid access is activated only after server-side confirmation of successful payment. Existing data remains available when a pass expires, while paid-only generation and monitoring may pause.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or submit deceptive application material;
  • access another user’s account or probe, disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
  • introduce malware, automate abusive requests, bypass limits, or misuse connected providers;
  • resell Zephy, its access, or generated allowances without written permission; or
  • use Gmail data for advertising, surveillance, or any purpose unrelated to your own job search.

9. Availability, suspension, and ending access

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, provider failures, security events, and changes to third-party services may affect availability.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment, or serious or repeated breach of these Terms. Where practical, we will explain the reason and offer a chance to resolve it. You can stop using Zephy at any time and request account closure by email.

10. Responsibility and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Zephy is responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of breaching these Terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses caused by information you provide, employer or job-site decisions, third-party outages, or events outside reasonable control. Zephy is supplied for personal job-search use and is not responsible for business or professional losses.

11. Changes, law, and contact

We may update these Terms when Zephy or the law changes. Material changes will be communicated in the service or by email where appropriate. Changes will apply prospectively and will not remove rights already accrued.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to use the courts available where you live. Contact support@sohailgsais.com with questions or complaints.
